Fear of a New Song

Hey Sexy People!

Last Friday at rehearsal, we came up with some new tunes - which is always exciting!  We worked out the structure of "Who Am I" then went onto "Sunshine" (which Monster couldn't wait to show us!).  And I can't wait to play it for y'all.

We also began working on "Back & Forth We Rock!"  That's some hot shit right there.  It's a title we've had for the past year, but didn't know what the fuck to do with... we just know it had to groove.  Damn picked up the bass and laid down the groove.

It's funny for me, because every time I think it's time to write a new tune, I become terrified that I won't be able to write another good song.  And, usually, within the deepest moment of doubt, the universe sends me an idea!

The Monster and Damn are very collaborative in their writing.  I'm learning to be.  I mostly sit in a room lit by a small lamp, so it's kind of dark with a lot of shadows.  Pretty solitary, but that's just The Deacon.
